Blocks With Images of Pharaoh Ramses II Found |

EL CAIRO, EGYPT.- A dozen blocks of rock etched with images that represent pharaoh Ramses II were discovered in the Sinai peninsula, northeast of Egypt, reported the Higher Council of Antiquities in Egypt. Mohamed Abdel Maqsud, direcotr of Antiquities in the Nile Delta and Sinai explained that an Egyptian-American archeological team discovered blocks in the Al Burg area, around twenty kilometers east of the Suez Channel. He stated, "These pieces are of great historic importance because they are the first with images of pharaoh Ramses II."
