BERLIN.- The Coin Cabinet of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna will be putting a selection of its magnificent medals on display in Berlin's Bode-Museum . The exhibition will outline the development of the wide spectrum of themes and artistic styles in Habsburg medals, from the start of the 16th century up to the end of the monarchy in 1918.

Highlights of the collection include splendid medals from the emperors Charles V to Franz Joseph I. The exhibition will be complemented with pieces from the National Museums in Berlin's own Numismatic Collection in the adjoining permanent exhibition. The collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna's Coin Cabinet dates back to the Holy Roman Emperors of the House of Habsburg and comprises some 700,000 items ranging over three millennia.
