Triangle Arts Trust Announced the Appointment of David Elliott as the Chair of the Board of Triangle Arts Trust

LONDON.- Robert Loder, who co-founded Triangle with Anthony Caro in 1982 is retiring from the Chair after having created and built up Triangle into a unique artists' led network that has provided workshop, studio and gallery spaces not only in London, at Gasworks, but also in many other locations throughout the world. Robert will continue his involvement with Triangle as a Trustee.

David Elliott has been on Triangle's Board for over a year. Accepting the Chair, he said that "it is not only a great honour to be asked to lead the Board of this dynamic and enterprising arts organisation, but it will be also a great challenge to continue to develop Triangle in the inspired way that Robert has, supporting creativity where others saw nothing. We will continue to build on the network that he has helped to create, nurturing originality and quality in the visual arts wherever it can be found."

David Elliott, a curator and writer, is currently the Artistic Director of the 17th Biennale of Sydney. He was previously director of the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art in Turkey, the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, Moderna Museet (the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art) in Stockholm and the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford as well as 1998-2004 President of CIMAM (the International Committee of ICOM of Museums of Modern and Contemporary Art).
