SAN DIEGO, CA.- The San Diego Museum of Arts Board of Trustees announces the formation of a search committee to embark on its formal search for the Museums next executive director.
Chaired by Boardmember Chuck Hellerich, the search committees scope of responsibilities includes identifying and retaining a search firm, and conducting the selection process for a successor to exiting Executive Director Derrick R. Cartwright.
Joining Hellerich on the search committee, formed July 23, are fellow Boardmembers Gordon Brodfuehrer, Martha Dennis, Tom Gildred, Sheila Potiker and Harvey White, current Board President Ken Widder and immediate past Board President Pam Cesak.
Cartwright recently accepted the position as executive director at the Seattle Art Museum. He remains at The San Diego Museum of Art to assist in the transition of duties until his departure on September 11.
