"At Home With Art" at Duff House |
BANFF, SCOTLAND.- The Duff House presents "At Home With Art", on view through May 5, 2002. If the sculpture has a function is it less worthy of attention? To address this issue nine of Britain's top contemporary artists were invited to design a range of functional items with sculptural elements which could be used in the home. The items were mass produced and went on sale in Homebase shops when the exhibition opened at the Tate Gallery. Works on show include a steel clothes peg by 'Angel of the North' sculptor Anthony Gormley, a Lamp by former Turner Prizewinner Anish Kapoor and a Beach Towel by David Mach.
