ATLANTA, GA.- Beginning next Tuesday, August 17, the High will offer half-price adult tickets ($9), all day, for walk-up visitors only on Tuesdays through August 31. Visitors purchasing a new museum membership on these Tuesdays will also receive a free gift. Groups of 10 or more will receive two additional free tickets when booking for these Tuesdays by calling 404-733-4550.

Beginning September 7 through October 29, the High will offer half-price tickets ($9) every weekday (Tuesday–Friday) from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. This special offer is again only for walk-up visitors. Admission will include “Dalí: The Late Work,” “Titian and the Golden Age of venetian Painting” (Opening October 17), as well as all other exhibitions and the permanent collection. Visitors purchasing a new museum membership during this time will also receive a free gift. Groups of 10 or more will receive two additional free tickets when booking during Lunch Break hours by calling 404-733-4550.

As always, the High also offers half-price tickets on Thursday evenings from 4 to 8 p.m. These tickets are available in advance online or walk-up.

The High is the sole venue for “Dalí: The Late Work,” the first exhibition to focus specifically on Salvador Dalí's art after 1940. The exhibition features 115 works including 40 paintings and a related group of drawings, prints and other Dalí ephemera. "Dalí: The Late Work" reevaluates the last half of Dalí's career, beginning in the late 1930s with the transition from his well-known surrealist canvases to his self-reinvention as an artist in 1941, when he embraced Catholicism and declared himself a classicist. The exhibition also explores Dalí's relevance to contemporary art by exploring his enduring fascination with science, optical effects and illusionism, and his surprising connections to artists of the 1960s and 1970s such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Willem de Kooning. The exhibition is on view through January 9, 2011.

“Titian and the Golden Age of Venetian Painting: Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland” will open on October 17, 2010. In collaboration with the National Galleries of Scotland (NGS), the High will present an exhibition of 25 masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance—12 paintings and 13 drawings—that will include two of the greatest paintings of the Italian Renaissance, Titian’s “Diana and Actaeon” and “Diana and Callisto” (1556–1559). The two monumental paintings have never before traveled to the United States. The exhibition will also include paintings by Tintoretto, Veronese and Lotto from the collection of the National Galleries. This exhibition launches a new collaboration between the High and NGS, with additional exhibitions currently under development.
