Saint Louis Art Museum Announces New Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs
Elizabeth Wyckoff has nearly 20 years of curatorial experience.

ST. LOUIS, MO.- The Saint Louis Art Museum announced that Elizabeth Wyckoff will assume the role of curator of prints, drawings and photographs on December 1, 2010.

Wyckoff joins the Museum after six years with the Davis Museum and Cultural Center at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. Since July 2006 she held the positions of assistant director for curatorial affairs and education, and curator of prints and drawings. Wyckoff joined the Davis Museum in 2004 as associate curator of prints and drawings. During her tenure, Wyckoff curated exhibitions ranging from old master to contemporary works on paper, including Grand Scale: Monumental Prints in the Age of Durer and Titian (2008).

Wyckoff has nearly 20 years of curatorial experience, beginning as a print study room curator for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She has also worked for the New York Public Library as a print specialist within the Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs. Wyckoff has been the recipient of several grants and fellowships, including a Kress Foundation travel fellowship, a Fulbright grant to the Netherlands and a fellowship in the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at The New York Public Library.

"Elizabeth fills a critical role within the curatorial division," said Brent R. Benjamin, Museum director. "We are thrilled to have her join the Museum. Prints, drawings and photographs is a significant collection that will benefit greatly from her expertise."

Wyckoff received her Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts and German language and literature from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and she earned a doctorate in art history from Columbia University.

"As staff continues to prepare for reinstallation upon the completion of the David Chipperfield-designed expansion, Elizabeth will be a terrific addition to our curatorial team," said Andrew Walker, assistant director for curatorial affairs and curator of American art.
