Art Museum Deputy Director Steps Down

MILWAUKEE, WI.- The Milwaukee Art Museum has announced that Brian Ferriso has resigned from his position as deputy director effective February 28.   Ferriso has accepted the position of executive director at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. "We are happy for Brian and wish him success in his new position," said Milwaukee Art Museum Director and CEO David Gordon. "He has made valuable contributions to the Art Museum and the Calatrava expansion period and it is a good time for him to move forward in his career."
"I feel privileged and honored to have been a part of the Milwaukee Art Museum and its incredible transformation," said Ferriso. "As an artist and art historian with business training, the executive director position at Philbrook allows me to draw on my passion for art and management experience to oversee all aspects of the institution."
The recruitment of a new Director of Development will begin and Gordon will oversee the curatorial and development areas in the interim.
