ROME, ITALY.- Italian police have recovered more than 50 stolen art works after a three-year investigation that was based on the confessions of a convicted art thief. The works of art are worth more than $1.7 dollars. Among the works recovered was the painting "Madonna and Child" by Sebastiano Conca that used to hang in the bedroom of pope Leo XII, who was pope between 1823 and 1829. The stolen art was found in the homes of 22 people, which are now under investigation.
