BEVERLY HILLS, CA.- An Italian Giltwood and Fabric bedroom set, attributed to Michelangelo Guggenheim, Venice Italy, circa 1890, and retailed by Tiffany Glass and Decorating Co., New York, is expected to bring $40,000 as one of the principal highlights of Heritage Auctions Sunday, March 20 Signature® Decorative Arts Auction, the first Heritage Decorative Arts auction to be held in Beverly Hills.

The auction will also feature the collection of Golden Age Hollywood power couple Paul Gregory and Janet Gaynor, a grouping creating as much buzz among collectors of Decorative Art as it is among entertainment memorabilia aficionados. Paul Gregory will be in attendance at the preview party for the auction from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 17.

"This mix of fine and Decorative Arts and Hollywood royalty seems the perfect combination for Beverly Hills," said Tim Rigdon, Director of Decorative Arts at Heritage. "We expect collectors will feel the same way when they see the detailed offerings."

Complementing the Italian bedroom set is an ornate pair of French Louis XV-style Gilt Bronze Eight-Light Wall Sconces, likely made in Paris, circa 1900. These unmarked sconces are finely chased with foliate scroll arms, and are estimated at $16,000+.

Fine California design is on display with a set of eight Lacquered dining chairs, each with a different figural design on their respective curved splats, created by Frances Adler Elkins, Monterey, CA, circa 1930. The set carries a pre-auction estimate of $15,000+.

Fine French design proliferates throughout the auction, including a pair of French Sèvres-style Porcelain covered urns with gilt bronze mounts, likely made in Paris, circa 1900 (estimate: $8,000+), a French Louis XVI-style Giltwood Trumeau Mirror, also likely of Parisian manufacture, circa 1875-1890 (estimate: $7,000+) and a pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Chenets, circa 1875 (estimate: $2,500+.)

A French ceramic plate, "The Tortured Fawn," after Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973), Madoura Pottery, Vallauris, France, circa 1956 (estimate: $3,000+), will anchor a grouping of fine ceramics, which also includes selections of high quality Majolica, Russian porcelain and American studio pottery.
