MADRID, SPAIN.- The Fine Arts Circle in Madrid will present the photographic exhibition of famous Mexican writer Juan Rulfo. Rulfo is well-known for his book "Pedro Páramo", but this time an exhibition will feature 173 black and white photographs taken by him. By coincidence, this exhibition will coincide with another photographic exhibition by Manuel Álvarez Bravo, another Mexican artist. Both exhibitions focus on Mexico, in its landscapes, farmers and Indians. A book was also publiches in conjunction with the Rulfo exhibition. The book was published by Lunwerg and includes the 173 images. This exhibition has already been at the Virreina Palace in Barcelona and will be in Madrid until April 28, 2002. The Rulfo Foundation has a treasure of more than 6,000 negatives of photographs by Juan Rulfo. The first exhibit of his photoghraphs took place six years before his death.
