Art History UK Offers More in-Depth and Intimate Alternative to the Mass-Market Tourist Tours
Founded by London cultural expert Rose Balston, Art History UK combines fresh enthusiasm with unrivaled knowledge and the desire to share it.

LONDON.- Art History UK is a specialist art historical tour company set up in the capital to provide a more in-depth and intimate alternative to the mass-market tourist tours. Art History UK offers a uniquely intimate and tailor made tour service that will leave each individual with an inspiring depth of understanding about London’s art and architecture, and the heroic, humble, strange, sad, and often hilarious stories that this extraordinary city tells.

Founded by London cultural expert Rose Balston, Art History UK combines fresh enthusiasm with unrivaled knowledge and the desire to share it, priding itself on combining this scholarship with extensive tour guiding experience, attention to detail, intriguing tales, conversation, challenging ideas and a fascinating exploration of
the hidden corners of London’s past.

Rose began as an art history tutor in Italy and spent over five years teaching in Florence and Venice before she decided to develop her own arts education business in the UK.

‘I want to offer people the chance to learn about London’s art and architecture and its wealth of extraordinary tales, without making them feel like a tourist or a school child on a crowded bus. There seems a real gap in the market for intimate, tailor-made and indepth London art history tours that are led by young art historians. This is the gap Art History UK aims to fill.'

Art History UK sets itself apart from other tour operators, by offering uniquely small groups of friends and family members, the chance to tailor the tours to suit their personal tastes and artistic preferences. The size of the groups (as small as 6) and the bespoke nature of the trips means that people get to learn about the heroic, humble and often hilarious stories that London tells, in a new and innovative way.
