Seventh International Art Fair Art Moscow Opens |

MOSCOW.- The seventh international art fair Art Moscow has opened and will be on view through April 27, 2003. Thirty-seven galleries are participate in it. International Program ART MOSCOW is an annual forum of contemporary art, which includes international, national and regional exhibitions of contemporary art, series of special projects, including exhibition from private collections and “ART MOSCOW Workshop”, seminars, lectures and master classes. Curator – Ewa Gorzadek Exhibition of the winners of the General Satellite award We – They. Non-commercial project presented by Guelman Gallery. Curator – E. Kikodze. Valand School of Fine Arts Amber Chamber. Artist – Andrey Logvin Exhibition “First Channel Celebrities”. Non-commercial exposition reflects the international status of the ART MOSCOW Programme and attracts the international art community attraction. Widening the context of the discussion they help artists from all over the world to exchange experience. After the Fair May 2-7 the gallery booths will be used for the Third Exhibition “ART MOSCOW Workshop” presenting 30 best Russian artists selected by the leading art critics. The participants will have an opportunity to realize their projects without any gallery “censorship” oriented mostly to the commercial success. New Contemporary Art Award ART MOSCOW Foundation under support of the International Confederation of Unions Of Artists and “EXPO-PARK Exhibition projects” have found an award in a sphere of contemporary art. The Award is to promote the contemporary Russian art. The aim of the Award is also to support young Russian artists. The Award goes for work make in 2002 in any technique. The Jury prefers wors never shown to the public. The Fair is organized under support of Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Moscow State Duma Cultural Committee.
