MONTERREY, MEXICO.- A retrospective exhibition on the work of Spanish sculptor Eduardo Chillida opens today at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition includes 81 pieces, among them sculptures, drawings, reliefs on paper, wood engravings and prints. With a show that comprehends five decades of work by the Basque sculptor, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey continues with the celebration of its tenth anniversary. The exposition, which occupies the four rooms of the lower level of the museum, was curated by Daniel Abadie, director of the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume. This is the first time that an individual exhibition of Eduardo Chillida is presented in Mexico. The show arrives to Monterrey from the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume, Paris, and remains there until the end of June of 2002, when it will go to the Palace of Fine Arts of the city of Mexico.
