AUBURN, IN.- A series of motorcycles from The Criss Angel MINDFREAK Collection will bring a touch of magic to the auction stage at Auctions America by RM’s debut Las Vegas sale, Jan. 12 – 14, 2012, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Regarded as the greatest magician of our time, Criss Angel is best known for creating some of the most spectacular, mind-blowing illusions ever performed on stage and in his hit A&E television series, MINDFREAK. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he has amassed an extensive collection of one-of-a-kind motorcycles over the years, many of which have served as important props in his exhilarating and groundbreaking stunts.

Next month, Auctions America by RM proudly lifts the curtain on 11 unique motorcycles from Angel’s personal collection, including two belonging to Angel’s brother Costa. Specially customized, each is a star in its own right, having been used by Angel for either training purposes and /or in his death-defying demonstrations on MINDFREAK.

“We’re thrilled to have been selected by Criss Angel to present a portion of his unique collection at our inaugural Vegas sale,” says Donnie Gould, president of Auctions America by RM. “With Criss Angel BeLIEve performing nightly at the Luxor Hotel & Casino, Criss Angel and Vegas are a natural connection. We look forward to bringing the same level of energy, excitement and magic to our auction stage in January.”

Highlighting the offering is a high-performance 2010 Campagna T-Rex 1400cc motorcycle, used in Angel’s MINDFREAK season six premiere episode, “Grand Canyon Death Jump.” Showing just 65 miles from new, the Campagna is capable of accelerating from zero to 60 in 3.9 seconds (Est. $55,000 - $75,000, pictured below). Also on offer, a 2006 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, specially customized for Angel by Harley-Davidson of New York (Est. $35,000 - $45,000) and an exceptional 2007 BeLIEve / MINDFREAK Charity Chopper, with 100 percent of gross proceeds from its sale, including auction commissions, benefitting “BeLIEve Anything Is Possible - A JDS Foundation” supporting children in need. Angel is expected to be in attendance at the sale and join the motorcycles on stage as they go under the gavel, with all successful bidders receiving two tickets to his top-rating magic show Criss Angel BeLIEve.

In addition to the auction, the event will incorporate an exclusive market seminar on Saturday, Jan. 14, featuring motorcycle industry greats Buzz Walneck, founder of Walneck’s Classic Cycle Trader; Doug Mitchel, noted motorcycle author; Mark Hoyer, editor of Cycle World magazine; noted collector Joe Bortz; and SPEED’s Dave Despain.

Enthusiasts can attend the three-day auction by purchasing a full-event pass for $50 or a single-day pass for $20. Children under 12 years of age receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
