MADRID, SPAIN.- The Saint Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid presents the exhibition "Modern Poetics. Works on Paper from the Serra Collection." The show presents 79 works of art with artsists such as Derain, Picasso, Chagall, Calder, Klee, Miró, Matisse, and Barceló. The exhibition curator, Dolores Durán, stated, "The exhibiiton is a testimony of the personal development of a passionate art collector." She said that Pere A. Serra has been collecting art for more than thrity years, acquiring works for the collection that his father began with just a few works. The show is divided in two parts, the first showing works between the two World Wars and the second part focuses on works after the Second World War. The exhibition will be on view through May 5, 2002.
