MADRID, SPAIN.- The president of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, Ramón Boixadós, presented this past Wednesday a report on the institution's activities during the year 2001 at the Queen Sofía Museum. This is the first time that this event is held outside of Figueres. Ramón Boixadós reported that the foundation had a surplus of more than 2.7 million Euros, which allowed the institution to acquire works such as some by the artist Emilio Terry. The portrait of Terry hade a price of around 600,000 Euros and was acquired by a private collector at an auction in Sotheby's and was later sold for the same price to the foundation. The president also stated that the foundation currently manages funds of almost 88 million Euros which will become around 144 million euros after the works are revalued.
