NEW YORK, NY.- The Winter Antiques Show announced eight new exhibitors for the 2013 Show: Cove Landing, featuring 18th and early 19th century English and Continental decorative objects; Delaney Antique Clocks, a family dealing in antique clocks for 35-plus years; Didier Ltd., London-based specialists in 20th century artists’ jewelry by leading Modern masters, painters and sculptors; Glass Past, experts in Italian glass from 1870-1970; Carlton Hobbs LLC, focusing on the acquisition, conservation, and research of 17th-19th century British and Continental furniture and works of art; Old Masters paintings dealers Derek Johns Ltd. and Theo Johns Fine Art Ltd., exhibiting jointly; Magen H, a specialist in the work of French post-war designers; and American folk art and Americana authority Allan Katz Americana.
The Winter Antiques Show, held from January 25-February 3, 2013, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City, celebrates its 59th year as America's most prestigious antiques show, providing museums, collectors, dealers, design professionals, and first-time buyers with opportunities to see and purchase exceptional pieces showcased by 73 renowned experts in American, English, European, and Asian fine and decorative arts. Every object exhibited at the Show is vetted for quality and authenticity. All net proceeds support East Side House Settlement, a non-profit institution in the South Bronx that provides social services to community residents.

Allan Katz Americana
A passionate collector and respected dealer in early American advertising since 1973, Allan Katz expanded this passion to include period American folk art and Americana in 1985. Mr. Katz has earned a reputation in both the dealer and collector communities as an authority with extensive knowledge and a keen eye for exciting American art forms. The selections at Allan Katz Americana gravitate towards American Folk sculpture, which is admired for its reductive forms and colorful painted and weathered surfaces. These three-dimensional objects were executed by some of the most highly skilled American artisans of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Focusing on objects of exceptional quality which can also "crossover" to today's contemporary aesthetic, Allan and his wife Penny see clients by appointment at their home in Woodbridge, Connecticut.
Cove Landing
Cove Landing owners Angus Wilkie and Len Morgan have long collaborated to present a fresh take on rare finds. Their former gallery in New York City sold an edited selection of 18th and early 19th century English and Continental furniture, pieces invariably chosen for their distinct quality and an idiosyncratic group of decorative arts to complete an intriguing mix. Now private dealers, Cove Landing’s new venture (to be launched at the Winter Antiques Show) will present a rarified group of affordable objects in an architecturally designed setting: a scholar’s library. Examples will include 19th century animal sculpture, treen (small handmade functional objects made of wood), Berlin ironwork, neoclassical marbles, bronzes and blue john (a form of fluorite mined in Derbyshire, UK and popular as ornament in the 19th century).
Delaney Antique Clocks
Delaney Antique Clocks, located 45 miles northwest of Boston in West Townsend, Massachusetts, is a family business that has been buying and selling antique clocks for 35-plus years and has the largest selection of antique American tall-case clocks for sale in the country. The primary focus is on clocks of New England origin and specifically those that were made by individuals. Examples include clocks by Simon and Aaron Willard and their apprentices: David Wood, Joshua Wilder, Timothy Chandler, and Benjamin Swan. Delaney Antique Clocks also offers a wide selection of American wall and shelf clocks as well as French and English mantle and carriage clocks.
Didier Ltd.
With over three decades’ expertise in antique jewelry, Didier and Martine Haspeslagh started specializing in artists’ jewelry in 2006 and became a limited company in 2011 when they opened their new London gallery. Didier Ltd. deals in jewelry by leading Modern Masters, painters, and sculptors who are recognized internationally for their art. These pieces can be very intimate expressions of art, made as unique creations, personal gifts for family and friends, or produced in small limited editions. They are regarded by their creators as small sculptures designed to be worn, and as artist Alexander Calder stated, turned the wearer into a “living work of art”. Didier Ltd. carries pieces from over 100 artists dating primarily from the 1940s to 1980s.
Glass Past
In 1995 Sara Blumberg and Jim Oliveira founded Glass Past and have been private dealers in Italian Glass from the 19th and 20th century ever since. Their passion for research and historical documentation of Murano glass has taken them through a life of travel and collecting. They have been instrumental in placing pieces in both private and public collections throughout the world. Their work in the field of Italian glass has been referenced in the New York Times, Fortune Magazine, New York Magazine, and Town and Country, among other publications.
Carlton Hobbs LLC
Carlton Hobbs specializes in the acquisition, conservation, and research of 17th through 19th century British and Continental furniture and works of art, with a focus on pieces of exceptional merit, including specially commissioned items with royal or aristocratic provenance and pieces designed by architects. Mr. Hobbs is a globally respected dealer who is well known for his academic approach to the acquisition of historically significant pieces. Now headquartered in New York, Mr. Hobbs runs his gallery together with his longtime business partner Stefanie Rinza. Recognizing the importance of provenance, maker, and artistic content, the company created a research department that has since developed into what is now one of the most comprehensive specialist antiques archives of several thousand books and source materials.
Derek Johns Ltd. and Theo Johns Fine Art Ltd.
Derek Johns has expertise in all major European schools of art from the 12th to the 18th centuries, particularly Spanish and Italian works. The London-based gallery also offers European works of art and sculpture, Old Master drawings, and a selection of 19th and 20th century paintings and drawings. Well known for his talent for uncovering neglected masterpieces, Derek Johns Ltd supplies the world’s leading museums and private collections.
Theo Johns Fine Art is a specialist dealership and agent in the purchase and sale of Old Master paintings from the 13th to the 18th century. They also deal in 19th century, modern, and contemporary art. Working in the art business since he was eighteen, Theo Johns is a fourth-generation art dealer.
