More music memorabilia announced for Julien's Auctions Icons & Idols: Rock 'n' Roll event

BEVERLY HILLS, CA.- Julien’s Auctions, the world’s premier entertainment and music auction house announced I additional highlights to its highly anticipated Icons & Idols: Rock “N” Roll Auction Event to take place on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Julien Auction’s Beverly Hills Gallery.

Music enthusiasts, collectors and the curious will have the opportunity to bid on iconic music memorabilia dating back to the1930s to modern day. Rare items from The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, James Brown, Roy Orbison, Amy Winehouse and many others are among the offering of over 500 items offered. Icons & Idols is part of a two-day auction event with the second day offering the Collection of Tompkins & Bush.

Additional highlights of Icons & Idols Rock N’ Roll not previously announced include a stage worn Bruce Springsteen denim vest (Est: $2,000-$4,000), a Slash 14K White Gold, Diamond and Ruby guitar pendant (Est: $15,000-$20,000), Madonna 1985 Penthouse negatives (Est: Various $600-$800), Justin Timberlake video worn sunglasses (Est: $800-$1,200), a Jason Hook Custom Victory Motorcycle (Est: $10,000-$15,000), Carlos Santana 2006 PRS Prototype guitar (Est: $6,000-$8,000), a 1992 Gibson L5 Florentine Guitar (Est: $25,000-$30,000), a Liberace Album worn tuxedo (Est: $10,000-$12,000), a Roy Orbison signed check (Est: $400-$600), James Brown stage worn suit (Est: $600-$800), The Beatles Butcher cover photograph (Est: $2,000-$4,000), an Elvis Presley Louisiana Hayride concert poster (Est: $8,000-$10,000), Sammy Davis Jr., gifted “B.I.B” bracelet (Est: $1,000-$2,000), Frank Sinatra’s metal mailbox (Est: $3,000-$5,000), Michael Jackson Captain EO artwork ($20,000-$30,00) and Michael Jackson’s stage worn black fedora (Est:$2,000-$3,000).

A rare grouping of extraordinary vintage guitars will also be offered during the December 1st auction event. Among the guitar highlights are a selection of 19th century Joseph Bohman guitars, mandola and lyre (Est: Various $150-$2,200), a 2001 Martin reissue of 1902 00-45 prototype guitar (Est: $15,000-$20,000), a 2005 Gibson Eric Clapton ES335 guitar (Est: $15,000-$17,000), a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar (Est: $38,000-$42,000), a Tom Petty Silvertone archtop guitar (Est: $12,500-$14,000), a 1951 Fender Nocaster guitar (Est: $65,000-$75,000), a John Sebastian Modulus Baritone Guitar (Est: $10,000-$12,000) and a rare Don Wilson “The Ventures” 1967 Fender Jazzmaster guitar (Est: $100,000-$120,000) and many more.

The auction will include a spectacular collection and will provide collectors around the world the rare opportunity to take home Rock n’ Roll history. Several segments of the auction will benefit various charities including Carlos Santana’s Milagro Foundation, U2’s The Edge Music Rising, Ronnie James Dio’s Stand Up For Cancer and Seeing Guide Dogs of America.
