MADRID, SPAIN.- The Tenth Antonio Camuñas Award for Architecture was given to architect Francisco Javier Carvajal, born in Barcelona in 1926. He is well-known for the design of the Valencia Tower. The architect stated, "I am not free of debate, of course. Personally I am very satisfied with this building. It is a paradox that there were so many suspicions before and that now Madrid is a city where the towers are protagonists." Among other architects that have received the award are Sáenz de Oiza, Miguel Fisac, Alejandro de la Sota, Chueca Goitia and Julio Cano Lasso.
