OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA.- ’A Shared Experience’ is a special exhibit opening at the Oklahoma City National Memorial Center Museum on April 19, 2002, the seventh anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. Designed to highlight the common experiences and the human response of the rerrorist attacts in Oklahoma City, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the exhibit is divided into five sections, each of which illustrates one of the shared experiences. The exhibit begins with an introductory panel illustrating the fact that both April 19 and September 11 began as ordinary days in the lives of ordinary people going about their daily routines. The concluding panel is designed to challenge all citizens to do their part to prevent such events from happening again.
