Sonce started her career as a contemporary art dealer, eighteen years ago launching her first gallery, in the Broadway gallery complex in Santa Monica, exactly three doors to the right of Blum & Poe.
Her new gallery happens to be, again, exactly three doors to the right of Blum & Poe. With Sonce Alexander Gallery opening its doors in January 2014, the gallery will be the joining the ranks of the most established galleries in Los Angeles. Sonce Alexander will contribute her vision to the already pulsing art scene in Los Angeles.
Sonce was born and brought up in Paris, France. She has spent the past eighteen years as an art dealer, dividing her time between the United States and Europe. Sonce Alexanders focus has always been contemporary art. Los Angeles and its contemporary art scene have prompted her to open a public space in the heart of Gallery Row on La Cienega.
Sonce Alexander has been very present in the Los Angeles art scene and has always believed Los Angeles to be a part of the global contemporary art platform.
