SAN SEBASTIAN, SPAIN.- Eight individual exhibitons take place this year focusing on the work of Eduardo Chillida in Europe and America. Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Valencia and possibly Salamanca have scheduled Chillida exhibitions this year. Pilar Belzunce, the artist’s wife and Luis Chillida, one of his eight sons, stated, ’Eduardo has always wanted his works to travel and we are working on that, to make it easier to organize exhibitions in any place.’ Even though Eduardo Chillida, 78, overcame the pneumonia problems that had him 17 days hospitalized, the cerebral disease he has has ended his creative work activity. Currently the Contamporary Art Museum in Monterrey (MARCO) is holding an exhibition on Chillida. This exhibition ends in June and travels to the Fine Arts Palace in Mexico City.
