Valencia Court Decides to Return Pinazos |
VALENCIA, SPAIN.- The Valencia Court has made a decision on the works of Ignacio Pinazo at the Modern Art Institute of Valencia (IVAM). Because the more than 400 works of the artist have not been shown at the IVAM for years, the works could return to his family. In 1997 the IVAM began doing some remodelling works at its building and stored the Pinazo works it had on exhibit for three years. The agreement made between the family and the Valencia government specified that the Pinazo works had to be on exhibit permanently and so the government was not fulfilling its part. The IVAM put the Pinazo works on exhibit back at the begining of the Fall. The Valencia court is asking that the works be returned to his family.
