LONDON.- Mission Possible: Harry Moore-Gwyn is joining George Duckett in a mission to grow the middle market British and Continental Paintings online auctions at 25 Blythe Road.

A graduate from Oxford University then Christie's Education, Harry also gained a place on the Sotheby's graduate trainee scheme. Harry has been a dealer in British pictures since 2000 with a particular emphasis on twentieth century art. He has gained an increasing reputation for re-discovering unjustly neglected artists of the period.

He will be curating the British and Continental Pictures online auctions, in association with George Duckett and his first sale will be entitled 'Harry Moore-Gwyn: British and Continental Pictures', held on 3rd - 8th July 2014.

Harry’s work as a curator has included exhibitions at the Science Museum, London and the Alfred East Gallery, Kettering. Past and future publications include catalogues on Norman Clark, Walter Bonner Gash, Josef Herman, Henry Lamb, Kenneth Rowntree and Rudolf Sauter.

Harry exhibits regularly as a dealer at many leading London fairs. He is Chairman of the picture vetting committee at the Winter Olympia Fine Art and Antique Fair and is part of the advisory committee for the Works on Paper Fair; he has been a member of the British Antique Dealers' Association since 2008.

Harry comments ‘…with 25 Blythe Road we have an extraordinary opportunity to establish ourselves in the stimulating area that exists in the middle market of British and Continental pictures. This is an expanding face of the art world that represents great quality, diversity and value for money; as an auction house in the heart of West London, 25 Blythe Road should be well placed in time to become leaders in this interesting field.’

George Duckett, who has run the online auctions since December 2012, says ‘I am thrilled Harry is joining me on our mission to encourage interest and grow the potential in this very exciting field where good quality art is still affordable.’
