The third large scale outdoor sculpture exhibition managed by Gormley’s Fine Art in Ireland, this exhibition at Russborough will showcase 150 works in the beautiful Parklands, Hippodrome and the Old Stables.

CO. WICKLOW.- Gormley’s Fine Art, one of Ireland's leading art galleries specialising in contemporary painting and sculpture, will host a major outdoor sculptural exhibition in Russborough House, Blessington, Co. Wicklow, for three weeks from Saturday, 19th July to Sunday, 10th August, 2014.

The third large scale outdoor sculpture exhibition managed by Gormley’s Fine Art in Ireland, this exhibition at Russborough will showcase 150 works in the beautiful Parklands, Hippodrome and the Old Stables. With exhibiting artists from Ireland, Europe and America, showcasing pieces in bronze, granite, marble, stone, copper, bog oak, ceramic, wood and fiberglass, the exhibition has something for everyone ranging from small intimate indoor pieces to spectacular large garden works.

Commenting on the exhibition, Oliver Gormley from Gormley’s Fine Art said: ‘Russborough offers a fantastic back drop to this exhibition and we hope that visitors will appreciate these works in such a unique surrounding. Russborough is an ideal location for an exhibition of this calibre due to its great place in the history of Irish art and The Alfred Beit Foundation’s ongoing support of the Arts in Ireland. As we come to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we mark a quarter of a century of our support of Irish artists, so this relationship and collaboration with Russborough is very fitting. We are committed to promoting Irish art, so this exhibition will showcase 150 works to both Irish and international tourists and visitors.’

Adding to this, Eric Blatchford, CEO of Russborough House said: ’Russborough might be best known for its award winning guided house tours, which have welcomed over 1 million visitors since 1978. However, today Russborough is so much more than this, with many varied uses of its wonderful parklands and its inspirational vista across to the Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow Mountains. We are thrilled to welcome a collection of modern sculpture on the lawns and walkways around the 18th century Palladian Mansion and within the historic Hippodrome and Old Stables outbuildings. I look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy the historic architecture and contents of Russborough itself, which is nearly 275 years old, as well as the complementary modern day sculptures created by a great number of very talented Irish and international sculptors.’
