FT. LAUDERDALE, FL.- Bonnet House Museum & Gardens invites all artists who make images of Old South Florida to submit up to three (3) slides of artwork. To be eligible, artwork must represent South Florida’s architectural, natural or cultural heritage.
Eligibility: Artwork can include, but is not limited to, paintings, sculpture, watercolor, photography, digital, and mixed medias. Entries must be original and not previously exhibited at Bonnet House. Images MUST depict impressions of South Florida’s architectural, natural or cultural heritage especially, but not limited to, the following counties; Collier, Hendry, Lee, Miami-Dade, Broward, Martin, Monroe, and Palm Beach.
Awards: First Prize, $500; Second Prize, $300; Third Prize, $200; People’s Choice Award, $100; and Five Honorable Mentions.
Juror: Samantha Salzinger, Curator, Arts & Culture Center of Hollywood. Judging is based on up to three (3) 35mm slides of individual work suitable for carousel projection. No photographs of artwork will be accepted for jurying, ONLY 35mm slides. $20 for up to 3 slides, $15 for Bonnet House Fine Artists members.
