netica Art Fair provides an opportunity for art collectors and art enthusiasts to buy outstanding works of art by some of the most innovative and exciting artists working today.

LONDON.- The sixth edition of Kinetica Art Fair brings together spectacular work from over 100 artists from 15 countries, representing the very best of new and innovative kinetic art from around the globe.

Kinetic Art has been used by artists and avidly sought out by collectors since the early 1900’s, and has often been at the forefront of contemporary art. This historic lineage is demonstrated at Kinetica Art Fair with a rare collection of works on sale from Austin Desmond Fine Art, London. They will be exhibiting pioneers of the art form including Tinguely, Julio Le Parc, Hugo Demarco, Heinz Mack, Jean Pierre Yvaral, Davide Boriani and Gregorio Vardanega.

Highlights for 2014:

The London premiere of Scottish artists, Helson & Jackets work, ‘Help Me Obi’, uses ground-breaking 3D holographic technology to playful effect. Developed over seven years, their award winning 3D video machine brings to 360-degree life the famous holographic message from Star Wars

The Orders of Magnitude Challenge (OOM) is an experiment in exponential self-funding by Stuart Warren-Hill, his challenge to turn £1 into £1,000,000 by creating and selling artworks of steadily increasing values in 20 steps over just 12 months. Level 11 will be on sale at Kinetica 2014 and if Stuart continues at the same rate of success, he will be a millionaire by his birthday in January 2015. Stuart will also be showing his Holotronica project which explores the synesthetic fusion of electronic music with live visuals and new holographic technology.

Tim Lewis creates fabulous animatronic objects; man-animal-machine hybrids of imagined creatures which bring together the artist’s love of invention and a fascination for the creative processes of the subconscious. Lewis will be showing a new large scale work for Kinetica 2014.

Perte de Signal bring to Kinetica four artists from Quebec, exhibiting in the UK for the first time, including the world premiere of a new kinetic sculpture by Maxine Damecour. Four years in development this remarkable work creates the illusion of the sculpture creating images.

Alex May’s luscious interactive sculptures, transfix viewers by painting with digital video footage in real-time onto physical sculptures with synchronised audio and interactive technology. His work in museums such as the Tate Modern, the V&A, and the Grande Halle de la Villette, Paris, captivate the viewer in an attempt to show how everyday perceptions of reality are altered by the way we use technology.

Kinetica Museum: Feature show focuses on Celestial Mechanics and the very real ghost in the machine, exploring ideas on the greater spirit within us and within the universe, featuring works by 20 invited artists from 10 countries with specially made ‘out of this world’ creations. Curated by Kinetica Museum Artistic Director, Dianne Harris

Kinetica Art Fair also includes a programme of dynamic live performances, featuring an international line-up including the UK premiere of 'Vitruvian', an 'interactive' opera performance from Germany, and '4th Skin', a real-time intermedia dance performance from Romania. The programme also features ground-breaking new content on the Musion holographic stage, exploring the fusion of the cinematic world with live performance.

Kinetica Art Fair provides an opportunity for art collectors and art enthusiasts to buy outstanding works of art by some of the most innovative and exciting artists working today. With prices from £200 - £50,000 the fair is accessible to new buyers and seasoned collectors alike with previous buyers including Damien Hirst, David Roberts, Ron Dennis and Anthony Horowitz. All art works at the Fair are for sale.
