NEW YORK, NY.- Fathom Events, in association with Arts Alliance and Seventh Art Productions, is bringing five of the world's most acclaimed art exhibitions to select U.S. cinemas with "EXHIBITION ON SCREEN," kicking off on January 13, 2015. The first film is "Matisse from MoMA and Tate Modern" based on the critically acclaimed exhibition Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs, now on view at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. These premiere cinema events, featuring Matisse, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and many more, will take audiences on a virtual guided tour of the exhibitions and offer an opportunity to explore centuries of art history through high definition filmmaking. Screening in more than 300 movie theaters around the country, each film will allow audiences to experience exclusive interviews with art experts and historical figures, rare glimpses behind the scenes at the world's top museums, and compelling biographical details, all without museum crowds or the expenses of traveling. Even if you've already seen these exhibitions on tour, this film series will give you exclusive access and content that can't be seen anywhere else.

"Exhibition on Screen" launches with "Matisse from MoMA and Tate Modern" and continues with the release of "Rembrandt from the National Gallery London & Rijksmuseum Amsterdam" on February 24, 2015; "Vincent van Gogh - A New Way of Seeing from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam" on April 14, 2015; "Girl With a Pearl Earring and Other Treasures from the Mauritshuis in the Hague" on June 23, 2015; and "The Impressionists from the Musée de Luxembourg, Paris, National Gallery, London, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art" on July 14, 2015.

"Matisse from MoMA and Tate Modern"
Hailed as one of the most successful presentations to date for both The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Tate Modern, the exhibition Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs explores the final chapter in the artist's career, during which his spectacular cut-outs were created. This cinema event based on the exhibition features rare archival footage of the artist at work, interviews with his friends and colleagues as well as Tate Director Nicholas Serota and Museum of Modern Art Director Glenn Lowry, and exhibition curators. Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs is on view at MoMA through February 8, 2015. The film also features a breath-taking performance by Royal Ballet principal dancer Zenaida Yanowsky and jazz musician Courtney Pine, commissioned especially for the film that will pay homage to the color, freedom, and innovation of Matisse's work.

"Rembrandt from the National Gallery London & Rijksmuseum Amsterdam"
Take a journey through this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition curated by London's National Gallery and Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum, which focuses on the artist many consider one of the greatest painters of all time, and the stunning work created in his final years. Given exclusive access by both museums, the film documents this extraordinary presentation and interweaves Rembrandt's life story with the preparations at both institutions. Rembrandt: The Late Works is currently on display at the National Gallery London and will open at the Rijksmuseum February 12, 2015.

To help answer this question, this unique event offers unparalleled access to a major new international exhibition focusing on the outspoken champion of Impressionism: 19th century Parisian art dealer and collector Paul Durand-Ruel. Credited with introducing the Impressionists to American audiences, Durand-Ruel exhibited their pieces in New York in 1886, and is largely responsible for filling American galleries with the Impressionist masterworks we see today. This enlightening and revealing event will tell his remarkable story along with that of the Impressionists themselves, including universally loved masterpieces featured in the exhibition, by Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Renoir, Pissarro and many more.
