LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND. - The Swiss artist Christoph Rütimann is convinced that better than hanging pictures, or at least more spectacular, is to hang himself from the roof of the museum. Rütiman has chosen for his action the museum of Art (Kunstmuseum) of Lucerne, designed like the Concert Hall, by the French vanguard architect Jean Nouvel. The event will take place on May 2, when the artist will be suspended from the roof of the building, situated at the edge of the lake of the Four Cantones, and he will make a complete turn forty meters above the ground approximately. Rütiman has created videos and photographs with Polaroid cameras of small "sculptures" of snow, but surely this "happening" will provide him with much more publicity.
