BOSTON, MASS.- Historic New England announced that Robert W. Ogle will join the staff as Team Leader for Preservation Services on February 17, 2015.

As a member of Historic New England’s senior management team, Ogle will manage the organization’s program and services that present preservation information to the public. These include the nationally recognized Stewardship Easement Program, currently holding preservation easements on almost one hundred privately-owned historic properties, and the Historic Homeowner membership program. He will also direct Historic New England’s preservation advocacy efforts on a variety of historic preservation initiatives. “I’m honored by the opportunity to bring my experience in business, finance, and historic preservation to one of the oldest and most revered preservation organizations in New England and throughout the United States,” Ogle said.

Ogle was most recently director of Historic Preservation Studies at Boston Architectural College (BAC). Prior to joining BAC, he served as Dean of Career and Technical Education at Spoon River College in Canton, Illinois, and Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado, where he developed their historic preservation programs. He has also served the discipline as Associate Professor, founder, and director of the Historic Preservation programs for Colorado Mountain College; Administrative Director of the Center for Historic Architecture and Preservation and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the graduate Historic Preservation Program, College of Design, at the University of Kentucky.

Ogle has a Master of Historic Preservation degree from the University of Kentucky, a Certificate in Historic Preservation from Bucks County Community College, and a BS in Finance and Economics from Philadelphia University. He has an extensive background with preservation programs around the country, including in Colorado, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania, and a comprehensive record of published articles and conference presentations.
