The auctions of Fine Jewellery, Watches, Pens & Luxury Accessories will be held at Donnington Priory on Thursday 26th March 2015.



DONNINGTON PRIORY.- Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions announced their first Luxury Accessories event of 2015. The auctions of Fine Jewellery, Watches, Pens & Luxury Accessories will be held at Donnington Priory on Thursday 26th March 2015.

Jewellery Highlights
This early Victorian turquoise, garnet and diamond serpent necklace, circa 1840, is in excellent condition for its age and is a wonderful example of the ever-popular high Victorian serpent jewellery. It is estimated at £2,000-3,000 [Lot 567].

Also hailing from 19-century high fashion is a gilt metal necklace set with large specimen bloodstones, circa 1830. It is estimated at £300-500 [Lot 564].

Dating from mid-19th century Berlin, is a Berlin Iron Work and polished steel cameo necklace. Originally created in the early 19th century in Berlin, Iron Work jewellery served as a replacement for the precious gem and diamond jewellery that the wealthy sold to pay for campaigns against Napoleon. This example is a slightly later Gothic inspired piece, circa 1830. It is estimated at £2,000-3,000 [Lot 562].

Collectors of jewels by 20th Century jewels will enjoy two small pieces by Andrew Grima, including a textured 18 carat gold money clip [Lot 601], estimated at £300-400 and an 18 carat gold ring estimated at £400-600 [Lot 602].

The famous jewellery ateliers of the 20th and 21st century are well represented. Headline pieces from Bulagri include a tubo gaz and coin necklace estimated at £800-1,200 [Lot 638] and a pair of hoop ear clips estimated at £700-1,000 [Lot 646].

From Tiffany & Co. is a mother of pearl, onyx and lapis lazuli bangle, designed by their in house senior jewellery designer Angela Cummings, estimated at £1,500-2,000 [Lot 637].

For girls after a new best friend the sale also features a comprehensive selection of large diamonds. Highlights include:

• A two stone diamond Trombino ring by Bulgari, estimated at £30,000-40,000 [Lot 597]

• A pink sapphire and diamond mask brooch by Rinaldi, estimated at £1,000-1,500 [Lot 606].

• A 5.24 carat diamond ring, with GIA certificate, estimated at £28,00-32,00 [Lot 674].

Watch Highlights
A wide choice of Rolex watches is on offer for both the male and female watch connoisseur. For the men there is an Air King, circa 1960, in perfect refinished condition and estimated at £1,000-1,500 [Lot 496] and a modern steel and gold Daytona estimated at £2,500-3,500 [Lot 503]. For the female watch connoisseur there is a gold Yachtmaster estimated at £2,000-3,000 [Lot 501].

For those looking for jewelled and elegant watches is a fine art deco diamond cocktail bracelet dating from 1930s and estimated at £1,000-1,500 [Lot 473] and a set of modern diamond watches by Piaget [Lot 487] and Pamigiani [Lot 482], estimated at £4,000-6,000 each will be of interest.

Student of Horology will appreciate an excellent oversize gilt pair case watch by John Sived with fine enamel painting to the back from 1775, estimated at £2,000-3,00 [Lot 450] and a Gold Breguet style quarter repeating openface watch estimated at £2,500-3,500 [Lot 454].
