MIAMI, FLORIDA.- The Art Museum at Florida International University presents BFA Fall 2003, an exhibition featuring works of art by Bachelors of Fine Art students, which will run from Nov. 21st thru Dec. 16th. Opening with a reception on Nov 21st at 8 p.m., the exhibit will showcase artworks by graduate students Herbert Jean , Sahsha Andrade, Marcos Valella, Emily Vogel, Eliezer Castro, Frank Quintana, Nick Doherty, Jacques Fleischer, Krishna Baichoo and Matthew Kroll. All pieces, including painting, photography and installation art, are original works of these BFA graduating students.
“The Art Museum welcomes the community to see what our BFA students have to offer,” said Carol Foster, Associate Director of The Art Museum at FIU.
As part of BFA Fall 2003, the museum’s Wednesdays After Hours programming will present the artists on Wednesday, Dec. 10th at 7 p.m. talking about their works at The Art Museum.
This exhibition is sponsored in part by the Florida Department of State, the Division of Cultural Affairs through the Florida Arts Council, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Mayor and the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners, the Friends of The Art Museum and The Art Museum at FIU.
All museum events are free and take place at The Art Museum, in PC110 in the Charles Perry building located on SW 107th Ave and 8th St at the University Park campus.
