Showcase cultural consultancy brokers three-year partnership between English Heritage and Unilever

LONDON.- Showcase, the specialist arts and cultural sponsorship agency, has worked with English Heritage to successfully develop and secure a major three-year sponsor partnership for the charity with Unilever and its household cleaning brand, Cif.

English Heritage cares for historic monuments, buildings and sites throughout the country – from Stonehenge to parts of Hadrian’s Wall – and recently became an independent charity. This partnership with Unilever is its first major sponsorship.

The partnership will provide much-needed additional finance for the conservation of several high profile English Heritage sites as part of the ‘Making England Shine’ programme.

‘Making England Shine’ will be nationally launched with the conservation of the Quadriga sculpture on top of Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner, London – the four horse sculpture is the largest bronze statue in Europe.

“As a new charity, English Heritage will rely on such partnerships to ensure that the sites in our care are both well looked after and enjoyed by this and future generations,” said Sir Tim Laurence, Chairman of English Heritage.

Showcase worked with Sinéad Donoghue, Head of Corporate Partnerships at English Heritage, to communicate the story of its change to charitable status, value, and package its assets and approach likeminded partners.

“We hugely enjoyed working with Sinéad and the English Heritage team to secure this highly innovative partnership. Both share similar values – English Heritage of caring for our historic environment and Cif of caring for the home. This is a genuine partnership that will bring significant benefits to both parties,” added Peter Welch, Managing Director of Showcase.
