Sotheby's New York announces the third annual Designer Showhouse & Auction
Selecting works from an array of Sotheby’s departments, including 20th Century Design, English & Continental Furniture, Ceramics, Fine Arts, Prints, Silver, and Photographs, the designers will juxtapose the contemporary and the traditional to create diverse out-of-the-box spaces that embody the essence of modern-day luxury living.

NEW YORK, NY.- This April, Sotheby’s will present At Home, their third annual Designer Showhouse & Auction in New York as part of Decorative Arts Week. Twelve interior designers and design firms from the tri-state area and the West Coast will each create one room of a home constructed within the fifth-floor exhibition space of Sotheby’s Manhattan headquarters. Sotheby’s has invited emerging and established members of the design community with a broad range of artistic approaches and experience to participate in At Home: Sotheby’s Designer Showhouse & Auction. The Showhouse will be open to the public 9 – 16 April, along with Sotheby’s Decorative Arts Week exhibitions, culminating in a dedicated auction on 17 April 2016.

Participating designers Bunny Williams, Sandra Nunnerley, Scott Sanders, Shelley Morris Interiors, Richard Rabel Interiors + Art, BHDM Design, Bradley Bayou Design, Fawn Galli Interiors, Jenny Wolf Interiors, Robert Passal Interior and Architectural Design, Patrick Mele, and CRD Associates will independently create rooms within a 6300 square foot architectural design by Trey LaFave Architecture and Interiors.

Csongor Kis, Specialist, French & Continental Furniture says, “At Home: Sotheby’s Designer Showhouse & Auction offers both the seasoned and new collector a range of objects of varying forms and from numerous centuries presented through the eyes of our incredibly talented interior designers. We explore the endless possibilities of combining art from the past and present into a timeless aesthetic that truly makes you feel at home.”
