KANSAS CITY, MO.- The Director of Finance at
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is one of eight local individuals named CFO of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal.

This award is well-deserved, and she has earned it with years of hard work, said Julián Zugazagoitia, Menefee D. and Mary Louise Blackwell CEO & Director of the Nelson-Atkins. Tammy has worked diligently to maintain the financial integrity of the Nelson-Atkins, and she is a collaborative team player whose dedication, abilities and leadership are greatly valued.
Bluhm has been the museums Director of Finance for six years and her team is responsible for the more than $27 million that crosses the operational threshold annually. Her team oversees the museums endowment, which allows the museum to accomplish its mission of serving the community. Bluhm collaborates closely with the museums Board of Trustees, Finance, Audit and Investment committees.

Bluhms team is committed to the continued goal of translating efficiencies garnered across the institution through the use of distributed software, financial training of other departmental staff, and continued focus on providing the tools to governance to assist in informed, effective and efficient decision making.
Bluhm received her degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University. Before coming to the Nelson-Atkins, Bluhm worked at Johnson County Community College and Big Lakes Developmental Center, Inc., in Manhattan, Kansas, and the American Public Works Association.
All winners will be honored at a luncheon hosted by the Business Journal June 9.
