NEW YORK, NY.- Style and Glamour, a sale of photographs showcasing the extravagant and exclusive worlds of fashion and fame is live for bidding on artnet Auctions through August 16.

Style and Glamour offers an eclectic range of sought-after images, from iconic shots of celebrities to edgy and innovative fashion photography. Don't miss the chance to bid on works by masters of the genre, including Helmut Newton, Terry O'Neill, William Klein, Andy Warhol, Miles Aldridge, Horst P. Horst, Alex Prager, and Norman Parkinson.

Highlights:

• William Klein’s Antonia, Mirrors, Paris, 1963.
After a stint in the military, William Klein (American, b. 1928) studied abstract painting at the Sorbonne in Paris under artist Fernand Léger, who often encouraged him to leave the studio and observe life on the street. Soon Klein's paintings caught the eye of a Vogue editor, who offered him an art director job in New York. Klein was deeply inspired by what he saw on the streets of New York, and an editor encouraged him to take photographs, thereby marking the beginning of an enduring and iconic body of photographic work. This photograph depicts Antonia, a model who appeared in several of Klein's photos for Vogue, standing in a corner formed by mirrored walls that create a complex field of reflections and lend viewers an almost infinite number of perspectives on her outfit and pose.

• Norman Parkinson (British, 1913–1990), Jerry Hall, Russia, Vogue (diptych), 1975. Estimate: 6,000—8,000 USD

• Lillian Bassman (American, 1917–2012), It's a Cinch: Carmen, New York, Harper's Bazaar, 1951. Estimate: 4,000—6,000 USD

• Marc Riboud (French, b. 1923), Yves Saint-Laurent, Paris, 1964. Estimate: 4,000—6,000 USD

• Terry O'Neill (British, b. 1938), Brigitte Bardot with Cigar, Spain, 1971. Estimate: 6,000—8,000 USD

• Burt Glinn (American, 1925–2008), Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick and Chuck Wein, New York City, 1965. Estimate: 5,000—6,000 USD
