CHATSWORTH.- Chatsworth Settlement Trust announced that Kate Brindley has been appointed into a new and expanded role as Director of Collections and Exhibitions. She will be located at Chatsworth and will commence work there in January 2017.

Kate will assume responsibility for the Devonshire Collections and Exhibitions programme at Chatsworth, but also at other properties within the Devonshire Group, specifically, Lismore Castle in Eire and Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire. Kate’s new role has been created in order to raise the profile of the collections, exhibitions and loans programme - nationally and internationally - while also engaging with external funders and sponsors.

Kate will be accountable to the Duke of Devonshire, his family, and Trustees and she will join the senior management team at Chatsworth. In addition to overseeing care of the collections and exhibitions programme, Kate will be charged with improving interpretation and contributing to the expanding programme of educational activities.

Kate joins Chatsworth from the Arnolfini Centre for Contemporary Art in Bristol where she has spent three successful years as CEO.
