Seacourt Print Workshop Exhibits Original Prints

BELFAST.- The  exhibition “Original Prints in Black & White” by the Seacourt Print Workshop will be continuing  through February 27th. It contains 27 new intaglios, lithographs, screenprints and monoprints from Seacourt artists, selected by well-known artist and writer Micky Donnelly. The exhibition was designed to provide the artists with an opportunity to explore individual imagery within the genre of black and white printmaking, while presenting a new body of work in the various printmaking media from this studio.
Seacourt Print Workshop undertakes to have at least one print exhibition each year that is selected by an outside adjudicator. This year’s selector, Micky Donnelly, studied art at the University of Ulster and received an MA there in 1981. He was the recipient of the prestigious British School at Rome scholarship in 1985 and has exhibited his paintings and prints internationally. Donnelly has also recently published his first novel and is currently writing a second book.
“Original Prints in Black & White” opened to the public at Clotworthy Arts Centre on Tuesday, February 3rd.
