OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA.- Kimberley Worrell has been named director of development at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. In her prior role as the Museum's associate development director, Worrell planned and executed the Museum's three major annual fundraising events - the Omelette Party, Renaissance Ball, and ARTonTAP - and led the Museum's membership program and the Moderns, the Museum's young patrons board. Worrell has been with the Museum for more than four years.

"Kimberley's exemplary performance during her time at the Museum made this an easy decision," said E. Michael Whittington, OKCMOA president and CEO. "As associate development director, she worked tirelessly to promote the Museum and to build relationships with our members, donors and visitors. Her work with the Moderns, our young professionals group, has been especially impactful, and I am confident she will continue to represent the Museum well in this new position."

Worrell added, "I am excited that I can continue to pursue my passion for the arts through development at OKCMOA. We are lucky to have a wonderful art museum here in Oklahoma City, and I look forward to helping preserve that legacy for generations to come."

As director of development for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Worrell will spearhead the Museum's fundraising strategy, activities, relationships and programs, including annual giving.

A Dallas native with a degree in dance management from Oklahoma City University, Worrell has significant expertise and experience in event production, planning and management. She served as the director of event and destination management for factor 110, where she provided meeting and event planning services to corporate, nonprofit and association clients across the country. In addition, she was the assistant director for special events at Oklahoma City University, where she planned, among other things, President Robert Henry's inauguration and many of the University's alumni activities, facility dedications and fundraising events.

Worrell earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification in 2012 and is a mentor for aspiring event planners. She is the president-elect for the Oklahoma chapter of Meeting Professionals International and is a member of the OCU Alumni Board. She lives in Oklahoma City with her husband.
