NEW YORK, NY.- A stunning collection of 300 items of sporting memorabilia from some of the world’s greatest football stars of the past 100 years will be sold on May 18th at the Hard Rock Café 1501 Broadway, Times Square, New York by Julien’s Auctions. Among them are some Scottish gems.

For anyone who has ever enjoyed sport, followed it passionately, or simply admired the grace, courage and dedication that it takes to excel athletically at the top level, this sale offers a selection of sporting holy grails.

Among the most interesting Scottish items are Celtic jerseys, many of them signed.

Lot 79845 GARY HOOPER 2010-2011 CELTIC MATCH WORN JERSEYS PAIR. A pair of Nike brand long-sleeve Celtic football club jerseys match worn by Gary Hooper during the 2010-2011 season. One of the jerseys is from the February 20, 2011, match against Rangers when Hooper scored two goals in Celtic's 3-0 victory. Hooper wore the other jersey when Celtic won the Scottish Cup on May 21, 2011 in the final match between Celtic and Motherwell at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Hooper signed the back of the jersey and inscribed it "88" under his uniform number 88 in black marker. Embroidered on the front center of the jersey is "The Scottish Cup Final/ 21st May 2011." The jersey is accompanied by a letter of authenticity for the signature from JSA. Both jerseys are Size L.

Lot 79846 SCOTT BROWN 2014 AND 2015 CELTIC MATCH WORN JERSEYS PAIR. A pair of Nike brand Celtic club football team jerseys match worn by Scott Brown. One of them was worn in the match between Celtic and Dundee United on March 15, 2015, the Scottish League Cup Final, and signed by him and inscribed "8" on the back of jersey below his uniform number 8 in black marker. Celtic won the match 2–0 for their 15th League Cup title. The front center of the jersey features the text "The Scottish League Cup Final/ Presented by QTS/ 15th March 2015." The jersey is accompanied by a letter of authenticity for the signature from JSA. Size M. The other jersey was worn in the 2014 National Famine Memorial Day match between Celtic and Dundee UTD on Sunday May 11, 2014 . The teams played to a 3-1 Celtic victory. The jersey features an embroidered National Famine Memorial Day patch, a remembrance of the Great Famine, a period of mass starvation, disease, and emigration in Ireland between 1845 and 1852. Size M.

Lot 79847 CHARLIE MULGREW 2013 AND 2014 CELTIC MATCH WORN JERSEYS PAIR. A pair of Nike brand Celtic football team away jerseys match worn by Charlie Mulgrew. He wore the black jersey in the William Hill Scottish Cup Final match between Celtic and Hibernian at Hampden Stadium on May 26, 2013, in Glasgow, Scotland. Celtic won the match, 3-0, and the cup. Mulgrew signed the back of the jersey with the inscription "All The Best," on his uniform number 21 in black marker. The front center of the jersey features the text "William Hill Scottish Cup Final/ 26th May 2013. The jersey is accompanied by a letter of authenticity for the signature from JSA. Size XL. The white jersey was worn during the Celtic vs. Inverness CT match on August 23, 2014, when Inverness won 1-0.

2016 AND 2017 CELTIC MATCH WORN JERSEYS PAIR. Include a New Balance Celtic football club team jersey match worn by Leigh Griffiths in the William Hill Scottish Cup Final on May 27, 2017, when Celtic defeated Aberdeen 2-1, winning the Scottish Cup. Celtic had already won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup. It was the first time in Scottish soccer history that a team completed an unbeaten season and won all three of the country’s major trophies. Size S.
