NEW YORK, NY.- Richard Lloyd, International Head of Prints & Multiples: “This was an incredibly strong season for Prints & Multiples across live and online auctions. We are especially pleased with the exceptional results achieved for the online-only sale of Andy Warhol: Sunsets, with nine of the ten lots establishing new records and all lots surpassing or matching the previous auction record for a Warhol Sunset. These results prove the continued success of Christie’s dynamic strategy for our online platform, which was just awarded the number one place in the Hiscox Online Art Trade Report for the thirdyear running. The wide breadth of global participation and staggering amount of auction records achieved demonstrate the power of online-only sales to transcend the boundaries of traditional saleroom locations.”

RESULTS: LIVE SALE | PRINTS & MULTIPLES APRIL 19-20 TOTAL: $7,683,000 87% BY LOT | 86% BY VALUE

Gecht Collection, which realized $212,500; and Willem de Kooning, Quatre Lithographies, 1986, which sold for more than four times the low estimate for $212,500.
