BOSTON, MASS.- RR Auction is proud to announce its first auction devoted entirely to the category of Sports. The online offering will feature more than 650 sports-related items, in a variety of formats including; cards, signed baseballs, game-worn jerseys, Olympic memorabilia and more.

A highlight of the sale is a 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Championship Ring. This stunning 14K gold ring is the same type that was presented to the players on the 1955 Dodgers squad, which included legends like Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, and Roy Campanella. Their championship victory over their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, was the first and only World Series won during the team's time in Brooklyn. A truly superb ring from a historic World Series. Accompanied by three holiday cards sent to Grafton by Dodgers players Ron Fairly, Bob Lillis, and Carl Erskine. (Estimate: $15,000+)

Also up for auction is a Brooklyn Dodgers 1952 Signed Panoramic Photograph. The extraordinary vintage glossy photo of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers by Verna Photographers, signed in fountain pen and ballpoint by nearly everyone depicted. Led by Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson, and Duke Snider, the high-powered Brooklyn offense scored the most runs in the majors en route to the National League pennant. However, they lost the championship in an exciting seven-game World Series against their crosstown AL rivals, the New York Yankees. A truly outstanding panoramic portrait of a classic Brooklyn Dodgers roster. (Estimate: $20,000+)

Additional highlights include an extremely rare Chicago Bears jersey worn by Brian Piccolo. The road jersey worn by Piccolo—the tragic inspiration of Brian's Song. (Estimate: $15,000+) Other impressive lots include signed material like a candid photo from the 1960 Olympics of a young Muhammad Ali – autographed Cassius Clay, a letter written by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who discusses Jackie Robinson’s contribution to the Civil Rights Movement, a Babe Ruth singled signed baseball, a dual signed ball with Ruth and Lou Gehrig and signed items from Ty Cobb, Jimmie Foxx and Roberto Clemente.

The Sports Auction from RR Auction will begin on June 14 and conclude on June 21.
