A highlight of the sale is a 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Championship Ring. This stunning 14K gold ring is the same type that was presented to the players on the 1955 Dodgers squad, which included legends like Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, and Roy Campanella. Their championship victory over their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, was the first and only World Series won during the team's time in Brooklyn. Also up for auction is a Brooklyn Dodgers 1952 Signed Panoramic Photograph. The extraordinary vintage glossy photo of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers by Verna Photographers, signed in fountain pen and ballpoint by nearly everyone depicted. Led by Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson, and Duke Snider, the high-powered Brooklyn offense scored the most runs in the majors en route to the National League pennant. However, they lost the championship in an exciting seven-game World Series against their crosstown AL rivals, the New York Yankees.
