NEW BRAUNFELS, TX.- To celebrate the launch of the first phase of the build-out of its new auction house, an historic German fachwerk farmhouse, located in New Braunfels, Texas, in the heart of Texas Hill Country, Lark Mason Associates and iGavelAuctions offer up The Art of Dining. This extraordinary sale of 384 lots representing thousands of fine examples of Venetian, German, English, French, American, and Asian table glass and porcelain serving articles, dinner and other services, serving vessels, silver flatware, and related items from the 17th century up to the 20th century.

Says Lark Mason: “We’re excited to present the first of many sales we intend to hold in this historic 19th century farmhouse, which we moved from a remote ranch location to the center of New Braunfels. For anyone looking for a wedding or anniversary gift, or for starting their holiday shopping early, these items are of extremely fine quality and priced to sell with very low reserves and estimates.”

Highlights include an impressive pair of French Neoclassical Style Gilt Metal Eighteen- Light Chandeliers, estimated at $20,000-30,000 and reserved at $5,000; an extensive Georg Jensen Acorn pattern flatware service, estimated at $6,000-9,000; a collection of dining-themed paintings by Robert Hunter Douglas; rare Spanish Colonial silver table wares and vessels; and extensive examples of Gorham, Whiting, Tiffany and other silver serving implements.
