SASKATOON.- Gregory Burke, Executive Director & CEO of
Remai Modern, announced the appointment of Lisa Laskowski as Director of Development & Chief Development Officer at the museum.
Laskowski is an award-winning professional with more than 25 years of organizational advancement experience in the culture, health care and higher-education sectors. Most recently she served as Chief Development Officer at the Royal University Hospital Foundation.
Lisa is an incredible addition to the Remai Modern team. Her work over more than two decades has helped raise over $100 million in the education and health-care fields. She is an expert at establishing and fostering meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, staff and volunteers at local and global levels, said Burke. Her work will be essential in continuing the momentum at Remai Modern as we deepen our connections with donors and the community.
As a key member of the leadership team, Laskowski will lead and participate in Remai Moderns fundraising and membership initiatives. She is also responsible for operationalizing the Remai Modern Foundation.

Laskowskis position is effective immediately.
Laskowski is a University of Saskatchewan graduate with degrees in commerce and music performance. After university, she worked as a print and broadcast media producer, host and consultant. Following that, she accepted the McConnell Development Fellowship and joined the Universitys Alumni and Development Office, holding the post of Special Assistant to the Executive Director.
For three years, she was the Development Officer managing the U of Ss $30 million First & Best national campaign, which ultimately raised more than $50 million.
She later became the first-ever Director of the Advancement and External Relations Division at Assiniboine Community College (ACC) in western Manitoba, where she served on the Presidents Senior Executive Council and was responsible for fundraising, alumni relations, marketing, communications, student recruitment and enrolment.
Her resume also includes senior development positions at SIAST (now Saskatchewan Polytechnic) and St. Peters College.
At the Royal University Hospital Foundation, Laskowski led a strategic brand redevelopment and oversaw the development and communications team which raised $50 million in support of innovative research, education and patient care priorities.
Laskowski has also held executive volunteer positions with various local, national and international not-for-profit organizations, including the Saskatoon Symphony, her childrens schools, the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE), and as Canadas representative to the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy International Conference Committee.
