LONDON.- Artist Diego Fortunato presents his intriguing installation “Am I here...? / SAY YES, Absolute Power Spray”, at Christie’s Lates on Monday 11 February 2019. Ahead of London Fashion Week, Christie’s are hosting a curated evening of aesthetic innovation; trend talks, photography and a new installation created by Diego Fortunato as part of the monthly ‘Christie’s Lates’ after hours event.

“Am I here...? / SAY YES, Absolute Power Spray” is a new installation created specifically for the Christie’s Lates event by Argentinean artist Diego Fortunato, as a comment on the global landscape of contemporary politics, dominated by post-truth politics and Trump’s claims of ‘Fake News’.

The substantial limits of the exhibition room have been reprogrammed, allowing us to perceive a space that exists beyond the walls of Christie’s, the most emblematic auction house in the world. There is no more perfect setting to introduce ‘SAY YES, Absolute Power Spray’. As if by magic, we all say yes to any proposition after being sprayed. No more conflicts of any kind on Planet Earth, just everlasting happiness.

The programme for Christie’s Lates also includes:

Trend talk: Colour Innovation: Past, Present and Future
WGSN’s head of colour Jane Monnington Boddy and The Secret Lives of Colour author Kassia St Clair discuss how innovation in science and technology has changed the way we use, wear and view colour.

Photography exhibition and shoot
Photographer Cyrus Mahboubian exhibits a selection of works and discusses his analogue approach to the medium. Cyrus will end the session with a polaroid photo shoot, where guests can have their portrait taken in his trademark nostalgic style. During the Christie’s Lates event there will be talks by Christie’s specialists in Impressionist, Modern and Post-War and contemporary art, and guests will be able to view highlights from the upcoming Christie’s auctions of Impressionist, Modern and Post-War and Contemporary art.
