MONTEREY, CA.- RM Sotheby’s will present an exceptional luxury men’s watch, the Richard Mille RM11-03, at its flagship Monterey auction on 15-17 August in California. Kindly donated in honor of the auction house’s 40th Anniversary by couture watchmaker, Richard Mille, proceeds from the timepiece will benefit the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, a deserving organization located in RM Sotheby’s hometown in Ontario, Canada.

Estimated at $125,000 - $175,000 and offered without reserve, the RM11-03 represents the first major change to Richard Mille’s legendary RM 011 timepiece since its introduction over a decade ago. The brand’s sportiest watch to date, the RM11-03 features skeletonized automatic wining movement with a variable-geometry rotor offering hours, minutes, and seconds, a power reserve of 55 hours, flyback chronograph, a 60-minute countdown timer at 9 o’clock, a 12-hour totalizer and an oversized date and month indicator.

A longtime friend and supporter of the RM Sotheby’s brand, Richard Mille exhibits not just a penchant for pushing the design envelope, but also looking beyond the parameters of his industry and advancing the Richard Mille brand across multiple luxury platforms. Today, Richard Mille timepieces are some of the most sought-after examples of high-end watches, with waiting lists in excess of a year for many new models.

The proceeds from the sale of the RM11-03 watch will be used to help build a new children’s treatment centre in RM Sotheby’s hometown of Chatham-Kent, Ontario where new facilities are desperately needed to assist children and their families with specialized services for physical, developmental, or communication needs.

“I want to extend a big thank you to Richard Mille for his generous donation. The Chatham-Kent Children’s Treatment Centre is very close to my heart and touches the lives of countless families in my hometown,” said Rob Myers, Founder, Chairman & CEO of RM Sotheby’s. “I hope there will be spirited bidding in Monterey to benefit this great cause.”

RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale has been the pinnacle of collector car auctions for more than 30 years, leading the field and raising the bar with its consistent, record-setting results. This year’s Monterey sale features one of the company’s most significant offerings to date, presenting 184 of the world’s most important motor cars and a selection of memorabilia in the ultimate collector car destination, featuring a special third auction evening on 15 August. ‘An Evening of Aston Martin’ will feature more than 30 of the world’s most sought-after road-going and track-ready Aston Martin sports cars from across the marque’s illustrious history.
