Aspen Art Museum Appoints Bennett A. Bramson

ASPEN, COLORADO.- The Aspen Art Museum announces that Bennett A. Bramson of Miami Beach, Florida, will join the museum staff on June 3 in the newly created position of Deputy Director for Development and External Affairs.

Bramson will develop and implement the fund-raising vision of the art museum, as well as the strategies and initiatives necessary to fulfill its mission, increase its funding, and ensure its financial stability and growth. This will include direction of planning and administration of all fund development and communications programs, including annual giving, grant writing and review, membership, planned giving, corporate activities, public relations, marketing, and special fundraising events.

According to AAM Director Dean Sobel, "Bennett will bring nearly twenty years of significant fund development experience with him. By working closely with Bennett and our existing development team, we will continue to build a solid financial future for the Aspen Art Museum, and expand our visibility in the art and cultural realms."

Bramson’s extensive experience includes senior level positions at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation in Miami, and the Touro Infirmary Foundation in New Orleans. Most recently, he founded a consulting firm, DevelopMentors, Inc., in Miami, which provided fundraising expertise and leadership training to local and national for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations. Bramson, age 49, holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida International University, has served on numerous Boards, and has been involved in other volunteer and community activities. He was recently honored as Hands-On Miami/United Way’s Volunteer of the Year for his extensive involvement in the Miami community.

Bramson has vacationed in Aspen twice a year for the past twenty years and loves the Aspen community. In addition to outdoor sports, he has a strong interest in the arts. "This is the culmination of dream," Bramson commented. "To live and work in Aspen, help build a sense of community, and raise our children here is incredibly exciting." He is recently married, to the former Jessica Gordon, of Miami Beach. Together they have five children, three of whom will be moving with them to Aspen.
