LAMBERTVILLE, NJ.- Rago’s Remix Auction returns on October 18-19 with two sessions hosted over two days. The sale commences on Friday, October 18 with Remix: American, English + Continental Silver, which presents nearly 200 lots of silver including a large and impressive collection of Tiffany & Co. hollowware and flatware services. The sale will also feature fine and heirloom pieces of silver from other makers such as Georg Jensen, Gorham, and Christofle.

Among the sterling silver highlights are several works by Tiffany & Co. including a wine cooler, an Aesthetic movement water pitcher, tea and coffee service, an ewer, and a pair of candelabra. Additional highlights from the silver session include: a finely engraved American coin silver two-handled tray; a large Gorham centerpiece bowl; a Braganti silver gilt epergne; and an Edward VII ox-eye cup by Ramsden & Carr.

Then on Saturday, October 19, Remix: Classic + Contemporary presents pieces of contemporary and mid-century design alongside period furnishings, elegant antiques, and compelling art. This session will also feature a collection of furniture, lighting and decorative metalwork by Oscar Bach from a prestigious single-owner collection from the Mid-Atlantic.

Highlights include: an impressive pair of Christofle candelabra; a hanging art installation of glass and resin discs by Yorgos Papadopoulos; a gilt bronze figure of Maitreya Buddha from the mid-15th century; a fine George III mahogany bookcase; the top of a bronze drinking fountain for horses by William Couper; a large lithograph in colors entitled “Absinthe Robette” by Henri Privat-Livemont; a Costa Rican feline metate ca. 800-1200 AD; and a Roman mosaic floor section from the 5th century AD.

"We are pleased to present a compelling mix of silver, furniture and art in our October auction. Friday's silver session is comprised of an impressive private Canadian collection amassed over several decades and showcases some of Tiffany’s finest craftsmanship. Day two features great pieces of 20th and 21st century design, classic furniture and beautiful decorative objects mixed with interesting accent pieces and fine art that spans nearly half a millennium." - Gina Tomasello, Director, Remix Auctions
